Aether Fuels and Aster Win 2026 SICC Award for Most Sustainable Collaboration
SINGAPORE —September 1, 2026 — Aether Fuels and Aster Chemicals & Energy have been awarded the 2026 Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC) Award for Most Sustainable Collaboration for their work together on Project Beacon.
The award recognizes “Aster & Aether Fuels Co-Creating a Scalable SAF Blueprint for Asia,” highlighting the collaboration behind Project Beacon, a next-generation commercial sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) facility planned for Aster’s Pulau Bukom site in Singapore.
Project Beacon will deploy Aether’s proprietary Aurora™ technology to convert industrial waste gas and biomethane into CORSIA-certified SAF with more than 70% lower lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions than conventional jet fuel. Producing approximately 2,000 tonnes annually of SAF beginning in 2028, the project is designed to demonstrate a scalable pathway for transforming waste carbon into lower-carbon fuels while supporting Singapore’s ambitions as a leading sustainable fuels hub.
“We’re honored to receive this recognition alongside Aster,” said TC Goh, Head of Asia Pacific Business Development of Aether Fuels. “Project Beacon demonstrates what is possible when technology, infrastructure and strong partnerships come together. We believe this project can provide a blueprint for scaling next-generation SAF in Singapore and across the region.”
The SICC Awards recognize partnerships that demonstrate the power of collaboration to drive innovation and meaningful impact. The 2026 awards mark the program’s tenth year.
